Our book for learning the Cyrillic alphabet, intended for children whose native, heritage, or foreign language is Serbian, has finally arrived from the press and is now available for purchase.
Some even say it could be useful for our preschoolers as well — we’ll see.
What can I tell you about it?
It started as a little poem written by a mother for her children, and it grew into a book — a workbook and coloring book — through which children learn not only the Cyrillic alphabet in a playful way but also become familiar with our broader cultural heritage.
Each letter of the alphabet has its own stanza, its own adventure, its own illustration, and an activity or task the child completes in order to learn that particular letter.
By following the adventures of Vuk and Milica, your children will quickly and easily learn Cyrillic, acquire new words, and discover something new about Serbian culture.
